Established in 2003, NILS has had students from all over the world, including Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Sweden, China,Korea, Romania and India. We tailor the language program to suit your needs, making sure that you are truly comfortable with the language before the course is over. We also make sure that we have a great relationship with the community so that our students in Japan will truly be able to experience real Japanese lifestyle. The Mayor of the city shows his respect and support for those students that have traveled afar to learn his native language by attending the entrance or graduation ceremony. NILS also has a strong tie with the Ogori International Relationship Association and has more events than other cities do. This way our international students can experience true Japanese culture.

We hold a number of events at our school that the locals are encouraged to attend and our students can always take a quick thirty minute train trip to head into the Fukuoka City. Fukuoka City is a bustling city that has a number of important museums and sites to visit. The city is also recognized for having produced the most successful music artist in the entire country of Japan. A huge amount of talent and history is waiting to be seen in Fukuoka.

Why can you start speaking Japanese in 3 months?

Ms.Kiriko Kawano, our chief trainer; who has more than 25 years teaching experience is one of authors of Japanese textbook which is well-used in Japanese language schools in Japan.
She also trains people who want to be a Japanese language trainer at "Teacher Training Program". She has already produced many Japanese language teachers who are teaching at other schools.

Her policy is "Make students speak Japanese in 3 months". Surprisingly, students who took her class can start speaking within 3 months!

Under Ms.Kawano's training, all teachers’ give students detailed lessons according to student's level. Our teaching methods will help students not only to pass Japanese proficiency tests, but also prepare them for university/college entrance exams. Students are given a short test for each topic, teachers check and score it carefully, trying to figure out which supplementary lessons are the best for students.
